While the general discussion of employee engagement is measured in the context of employee satisfaction, company value and their willingness to volunteer, there is proof that employees are willing to "do more for doing good." Research by Montgomery and Ramus (2003) reveal 94% of MBA respondents were willing to forego some part of financial benefits if the company cares about its employees, cares about the stakeholders such as the community, and commits to sustainability. A business case for Mandatory CSR Employee Engagement does exist.

Innovations such as 3D printed biological materials, digestible sensors, hybrid operating rooms, etc. have empowered the healthcare provider in the operation room, and innovations like wearable tech and health applications on mobiles have enabled people to take health in their hands. However, the healthcare industry largely remains untransformed when it comes to how it chooses to view the problems of health. Is it enough if they solve the problems they see?
In the United States of America, 87 percent of all adults use the internet (PEW, 2014). In 1999, sixty million users had searched the World Wide Web for health-related information (Wright, 2002). Twitter users choose to follow various informative sources such as patients, health organizations, and health-related media (Himelboim & Han, 2013). Abundant studies on technological affordance have also focused on the role of Twitter promoting and transmitting health-related information among users. In this paper, we explored how users who were affected by breast cancer (directly or indirectly) engaged weak-ties on Twitter in order to gain informational, emotional, instrumental or promotional support.
